Teri List says her kids are her heroes and role models, from whom she learns something about herself everyday. When the girls were little, and taking so-called "baby steps," in life's lessons, they'd stumble and fall, yet they never lost the enthusiasm and courage to try again. For them, she says, the entire world remains open and available.

While never losing sight of the responsibility of being a parent, List says she is proud to be able to call her daughters her "friends."

Stress Management: My answer to managing stress is running. It's a perfect time to capture different perspective ... or just escape!

Favorite Book: I'm an avid reader, but I never engaged in the Harry Potter craze--despite my daughter's urging--until this summer. Now I'm hooked. With the release of the last book, I've played catch-up, reading the first six this summer. They're terrific! Apart from that, I often have 3-5 books in process--a novel, a business book, a "self improvement" book and one that I'm "slogging through," but not really enjoying (and may never finish).
