Telrite Holdings to acquire Fort Lee's Locus Telecommunications.

Covington, Ga.-based Telrite Holdings Inc. announced Monday an agreement to purchase Locus Telecommunications and H20 Wireless of Fort Lee.

H20 Wireless, a Locus Telecommunications brand, offers no-contract wireless services. According to Locus, it serves about one million customers and its national distribution network includes more than 100,000 retailers.

The deal is pending regulatory approval, however, if approved the acquisition would set Telrite as one of the largest pre-paid mobile virtual network operators, the company said.

Financial details were not disclosed.
