Two TEI members appointed to IRS Advisory Council.

For slightly more than half a century, all advisory group appointed by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue has periodically met to provide counsel to the IRS on important issues of tax administration, and for almost that entire period one or more members of Tax Executive Institute has served on the group. Originally chartered as the Commissioner's Advisory Group in 1953, the body is now called the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council, and recently two TEI members were appointed to serve along with a third member who had previously appointed.

Specifically, former TEI President J.A. (Drew) Glennie of the Calgary Chapter and Thomas P. Wharton of the New York Chapter (who serves on the IRS Administrative Affairs Committee) have joined their colleague Betty M. Wilson, another former TEI President on the IRSAC.
