As part of its goal of expanding the scope and diversity of TEI's membership, TEI has developed a series of recommendations to enhance TEI's outreach to students and professors while preserving the "in-house only" nature of its membership criteria. Kelly Nall of the Dallas Chapter, the member of TEI's Executive Committee charged with the project, explained that "the Student Guest Program is designed to encourage chapters to invite students and professors to attend specified meetings as guests, at no cost. This will allow them to get a sense of the role that TEI can play in the professional development of both tax students and rising tax executives."
