TEI Educational Programs a Sell-Out Success.

Two fourth-quarter educational programs sponsored by Tax Executives Institute were oversold. More than 250 people tried to register for the Federal Tax Seminar, Select GAAP Issues for Federal Tax Executives: Managing Effective Tax Rates and More, which was held in Chicago on November 18 and 19, 1999. Unfortunately, the facility could accommodate only 200. (The Continuing Education Committee had originally planned on only 100 people attending the program, but TEI scrambled to secure a larger meeting room as the program planned by Federal Tax Committee Chair Philip Cohen struck a chord with the membership. For the unlucky people who were turned away, the Institute is considering whether to hold the program again before the end of the fiscal year on June 30. In addition, the Institute reached a capacity crowd of 170 registrants for its introductory International Tax Course, which was held in Indianapolis on December 5-10.
