TEI President Neil Traubenberg recently announced three new CPE programs with the Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters that will provide members access to the best in online learning and CPE compliance tracking.

"TEI is committed to providing the best tools and products to support our members' professional goals," Mr. Traubenberg stated. "These new benefits will feature discounted online and webinar programs, as well as free member access to a sophisticated, online CPE tracking platform." The new benefits were discussed at TEI's Annual Conference by Kenneth Koskay, General Manager and Senior Vice President of CPE of Thomson Reuters.

Online Courses and Webinars

The Institute has negotiated a 10-percent discount on Thomson Reuter's tax-related online training programs (offered by the company's MicroMash and Pass Online affiliates). These 400+ online courses offer a wide range of topics ranging from tax updates, to specialized industry coverage, to tips on Excel and dealing with difficult employees. Members can also purchase an annual "all you can eat" pass for only $450.

In addition, the Institute has committed to working with Thomson Reuters in planning and holding as many as nine webinars in 2010, again at a significant discount for members. These programs will build upon the TEI Talking Points brand that TEI launched early in 2009. The Institute will also continue to offer certain webinars to members at no charge.
