Teenagers know guns. And they want more gun control.

Those are the findings of a nationwide poll of high school students conducted this summer. The survey showed that 9 out of 10 high school students support gun-control measures such as criminal background checks and mandatory trigger locks, while 96 percent favor registering handguns when purchased. A quarter of the students said they or someone close to them had been shot in a crime or firearm accident.
