Network Appliance, a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based data-storage-system maker, is expanding in North Carolina. The company employs about 150 at a research-and-development and sales operation in Durham. It is buying three buildings in Research Triangle Park from San Jose, Calif.-based router maker Cisco Systems.
