Dear Teachers,

One of the many wonderful things about being part of the Scholastic family is getting a sneak peek at the latest educational resources our company has to offer. I want to take a moment to tell you about one such product that recently caught my attention--a wonderful Holocaust reader, written specifically for students in grades 7 through 10.

The Holocaust: The Story of Nazi Persecution and the Impact of Hate on Humanity was created by a team of experienced Scholastic editors, with input from Holocaust experts, to help you teach this difficult but important topic. The volume includes complex and engaging articles on the history of the Holocaust, interviews with survivors, primary-source excerpts, detailed maps and infographics, and discussion questions. Bringing the story forward, there's also information on more recent genocides and suggestions for young people who want to combat hate today.
