'Teach Children to Save Day' kicks off year-long challenge.

The ABA Education Foundation has issued a challenge to bankers to teach 1 million students on the 13th annual "Teach Children to Save Day," which will be held April 21--and throughout the year.

"With thrift making a comeback, bankers' skills and traditional savings accounts will be in high demand," says Laura Fisher, director of the ABA Education Foundation, which sponsors the program.

"Teach Children to Save Day" veterans and first-timers can sign up online at www. abaef.com. As part of the registration, provided by Qualtrics online survey software, bankers will be asked to report the number of students they will teach. Registration will remain open throughout 2009.
