Vertex Inc., a provider of tax management solutions, has announced that its Vertex O Series line of products for Web services environments is now integrated with PeopleSoft Enterprise 8.4 and 8.8. The integration will provide PeopleSoft customers with a solution that improves tax management efficiencies for sales and consumer use tax through one centralized system, the company said in an announcement.

Customers "will be able to verify vendor-charged tax, automate accrual of consumer use tax, save time on month-end reconciliation and achieve more accurate sales and consumer use tax processing."

The Vertex O Series platform has been designed to support every major tax type, delivering an integrated suite of solutions that share a common user interface. Deployed in a Web services environment, its eXtensible Markup Language (XML) interface provides a single integration point to one or more ERP, e-commerce, financial or billing systems, to help customers reduce costs associated with tax processing.
