Tax breaks used to lure Dell to Ohio.

State officials have offered Dell Inc. a $2.9 million tax break to develop a distribution center in West Chester, Ohio. According to the Ohio Department of Development, the center would generate 665 full-time positions for the township.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority has approved a 70 percent, 10-year corporate earnings tax credit for Dell. This tax credit would build a $15.4 million Dell distribution center that would serve the East Coast. According to a Dell spokeswoman, a location for the center has not been identified at this time.
