Tanzania's agricultural sector needs reform.

Approximately 43 percent of Tanzania's GDP comes from its agricultural sector, according to a 2004 estimate published in the CIA's World Factbook. And agriculture in Tanzania means cattle, a major source of wealth-and environmental conflict. Tanzania has 18-million head of cattle, the third largest of the herds in all of Africa.

Tanzania is just 3 percent bigger than Venezuela in land area, and cattlemen mostly move around to find grazing area and water for their animals.
