Tank or Not a Tank?

* The Army recently unveiled the M10 Booker Combat Vehicle, and the big question now is: Is the vehicle a tank?

The M10 Booker is an armored, tracked vehicle with a 105-millimeter cannon--basically, it looks like a tank. Even Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Doug Bush referred to the M10 Booker as a "tank" during a June press briefing, before quickly correcting himself and calling it a "combat vehicle."

"I will spare you [the] esoteric and borderline religious debate among the armored community about" what actually is and isn't a tank, Bush said. "What you see here, though, I think is [a] very thoughtful approach calling it... a combat vehicle. So, I think this is the proper characterization."
