A report from the National Association of Counties (NACo) finds that U.S. roads and bridges are in need of federal assistance for long-delayed maintenance and repair work. According to a survey of 1,300 county engineers, there are problems with infrastructure around the country. Nearly all respondents (98 percent) said some of their roads are in poor and/or fair condition, and 86 percent reported bridges that are in poor condition.
