A veteran U.S. Supreme Court journalist provided Wisconsin judges and lawyers with some insight to the first woman appointed to our country's highest court.
Joan Biskupic, who has covered the Supreme Court since 1989, reflected on the impact Justice Sandra Day O'Connor has had on the court. Biskupic, a Marquette University graduate and former Milwaukee Journal reporter, was the keynote speaker at Women Judges Night in Milwaukee, held by the Association of Women Lawyers.
Biskupic has covered the high court for USA TODAY since 2000. Prior to that, she was the Supreme Court reporter for the Washington Post and a legal affairs writer for Congressional Quarterly. Her education includes a law degree from Georgetown University, a master's degree in English from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor's degree from Marquette.
