ASCC recognizes the need for Alaska Schools to provide "excellence in education" so students are enabled to make successful career choices. ASCC urges the Administration and legislature to support a responsible increase of funding for K-12 public education, vocational education and the University of Alaska.

Adequate funding in the State's K-12 Education Foundation formula will enable local school districts to meet high standards of education and state and federal requirements including the "No Child Left Behind Act."
