* When our summer sleepwear arrived from our favorite manufacturer, L'Agneau D'Or (The Golden Lamb), Housatonic, Mass., we were surprised to find that the fabric (Greek imported interlock woven cotton) felt exactly like the cozy pajamas that we had so enjoyed last winter. (See "What's New?," January 2002.) "That's because it is the same," explained L'Agneau D'Or founder Margaret Taylor. "All our sleepwear uses interlock because it provides more threads per square inch than the `jersey' method of weaving. Besides, a lot of people want soft cotton pajamas in summertime because they sleep in air conditioning. And still others wear them outdoors as short sets."

Never argue with an expert, especially when she's right. The plush cotton material proved comfortable on cool spring nights as well as once the air conditioners started going full blast.
