Students present ideas in community creating contest.

This year, 241 students from eight elementary schools submitted 165 entries, an increase of 51 entries and 73 students from last year in the Anchorage Home Builders Association's Create a Community Contest.

All entrants were encouraged to address issues of transportation, places to live, places to work, public services, recreation and the environment. This year's special category was renewable energy sources. Solar power, wind power, corn ethanol and recycling were some of the themes addressed in the entries.
