WHILE CalCPA's student outreach and financial literacy programs continue to thrive, members now have a unique opportunity to combine the two efforts.

CalCPA's student outreach volunteers have discovered that motivating and inspiring young people to follow their career paths can be a satisfying experience.

But reaching out to students doesn't have to end there. CalCPA members can help improve students' financial literacy. CalCPA has a Dollars & Sense program for high school students, which offers an informal way to teach students money management skills.

Additionally, as part of its financial literacy initiative, CalCPA is collaborating with Junior Achievement statewide and each volunteer visit to a K-12 classroom provides an opportunity to also talk about CPA careers.
