Richard L. Jackson has been appointed chief executive officer of EmerGen. Jackson will apply his pharmaceutical experience and expertise, particularly in women's health research and drug development, to shape and lead the company's strategic growth. Previously, Jackson served as senior vice president of research and development at Atrix Laboratories, a drug delivery and specialty pharmaceutical company based in Fort Collins, CO. Jackson earned his Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Illinois.

Novell has appointed Debra Bergevine chief marketing officer. As CMO, Bergevine will oversee the strategic direction and execution of Novell's global marketing initiatives including brand management, product and solutions marketing, marketing communications and market research. Most recently the marketing vice president for Foliage Software Systems, Bergevine brings over 20 years of marketing and business experience to Novell. Bergevine holds a bachelor's in mathematics from Clark University and a master's from Boston University.

Linux NetworX announced that Stephen Hill has been named president and CEO. In this position, Hill will direct overall company strategy and continue to position Linux NetworX as a leading clustering company. Hill formerly served as Linux NetworX vice president, helping the company gain capital funding and form technology relationships. Hill earned a degree in economics as well as a law degree from Brigham Young University.

Christine Cook Keating, marketing manager far Stantec Consulting Inc., recently earned her Certified Professional Services Marketer designation from the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Keating is one of only 300 marketing professionals in the country and the first person in Utah to earn a CPSM certification. Keating has 15 years of marketing experience working in the architectural, engineering and construction industries. She earned a bachelor's degree in communication from State University of New York College at Brockport in 1984.

Daw Technologies Inc. has named James C Collinqs as the company's new CEO. Collings brings to Dam more than 21 years of management experience. He is a former managing director and partner of Cornerstone Capital Group LLC, which has made significant investments in a number of prominent mid-size technology and manufacturing companies.
