Procurement and supply chain management have been elevated to a high corporate priority in the past couple of decades, and this book uses that phenomenon as a platform to explore basic procurement strategies and best practices.

"Straight to the Bottom Line" is actually a trademarked term coined by Rudzki, president of Greybeard Advisors LLC in Pittsburgh and a procurement consultant who wrote "World-Class Supply Practices Boost Shareholder Value" in the April issue of Financial Executive. His co-authors include an editor with long experience covering purchasing subjects and procurement executives at Smiths Aerospace and Tyco International.
