Draper -- The newest addition to Utah's tech corridor opened its building under a bright blue sky and the watchful eye of a drone.

At STORAGECRAFT's new 125,000-square-foot building's ribbon cutting ceremony, company officials and community leaders reflected on the business' journey and direction.

Rich Nelson, president and CEO of the UTAH TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL, notes the "explosive" growth of the 11-year-old company--from seven employees, counting its five founders, in its inception in 2004, to 241 employees today, with a projection for more than 600 employees in the next few years.

Nelson also notes that all five founders still work for the company, which itself is unusual.

Of the 241 current employees, 182 will work at the headquarters, while the rest work elsewhere in the United States, as well as internationally. The building will initially use only 75,000 square feet, with the rest to be utilized as the projected employee growth occurs.
