A Princeton group is offering an alternative to the U.S. government's Public Access to Court Electronic Records, better known as PACER, and it's free.

Through PACER, federal courts make case documents available online, but it costs eight cents per page. Despite lawmakers' efforts to end the per-page-fee, nothing has changed.
