Stop blaming Nader.

In the April issue, a letter writer blames Ralph Nader for being primarily responsible for everything that has gone wrong since 2000. I voted for Nader four times from 1996-2008, and I have never regretted it. The Progressive has run dozens of letter bashing Nader for the last fourteen years. Those of us (2.7 million in 2000) who stood with Nader need to be heard, too.

I will never forgive the Democrats--in particular, Tom Daschle--for refusing to allow amendments to the Patriot Act. This great attack on civil liberties passed the Senate with only one no vote from Russ Feingold.

Since Obama took office in 2009, the Democrats supporting the expansion of the NSA have a worse record on civil liberties than George W. Bush had.

I will never forgive the majority of Democrats...
