The unemployment rates throughout Alaska have steadily declined throughout the period of one year. The unemployment rate in Alaska was 7 percent in June 2004, compared to 7.3 percent just one year prior, indicating a more than 4 percent decline in the unemployment rate throughout Alaska.

The Anchorage unemployment rate also declined in the period of one year.
