Crude oil and NGL production
Provisional estimates for OPEC crude oil production in
April 2015 totaled 30.3 mn bpd. For the 12 members of
OPEC, natural gas liquids (NGL) production for April
was 5.6 mn bpd, bringing total combined product ion of
crude oil and NGL to 35.9 mn bpd, 0.7 mn bpd or 2.0%
higher than the gure for April 2014.
Crude oil and NGL productionin the OECD 30 coun-
tries totaled 22.6 mn bpd in April, up by 1.2 mn bpd or
5.8% from the previous year.
Production in the countries of the Com mon-
wealth of Independent States (CIS) for April 2015
was 13.8 mn bpd, down 0.1 mn bpd or 0.8% compared
with April 2014, and forthe rest of the world, production
was 15.7 mn bpd, 0.6 mn bpd, or 0.4 % lower than it was
in April 2014.
Total world production of crude oi l and NGL for April
2015 totaled 88.0 mn bpd, an increase of 1.8 mn bpd or
2.1% compared with the gure for April 2014.
Natural gas production
US production of natural gas for February 2015 was
56.6 bcm, up 3.1 b cm or 5.9% compared with Febru-
ary 2014. In Canada, production totaled 14.8 bcm, an
increase of 0.6 bcm or 4.1% from the previous year.
Natural gas production in the CIS countries was
72.9 bcm, down 3.5 bcm or 4.6% compared with
the gure for February 2014. Production for OECD
Europe-23 was down by 1.2 bcm or 5.2% at 21.3 bcm.
Over all, world total natural gas production in Febru-
ary 2015 was 289.8 bcm, an increase of 8.6 bcm or 3.1%
compared with the gure for February 2014.
Coal and lignite production
World total combined production of coal and lignite in
February 2015 was 625.7 mn mt, up 7.3 mn mt or 1.2%
from the previous year.
Production in the US in February was 64.3 mn mt, a
fall of 4.0 mnmt or 5.9% compared with the gure for
February 2014.

compared with February 2014.
Electricity production
Net total world production of electricity in February
2015 was 8.5% or 164 bn kWh less than in February 2014,
at 1,767.7 bn kWh.
In China, net electricity production increased by
17.1 bn kWh, or 4.7% on the gure for February 2014,
at 377.1 bn kWh. US production for February 2015
was just 0.4 bn kWh or 0.1% higher than the gure for
February 2014 at 324.1 bn kWh.
Net electricity production in OECD Europe-23 was
272.6 bn kWh, a fall of 1.5 bn kWh, or 0.6% compared
with the same month in 2014.
Products demand
Demand for oil products in the US for February 2015
was 19.2 mn bpd, an increase of 0.2mn bpd or 1.0%
compared to February 2014.
AcrosstheOECD30countries,productsdemandwas
43.7 mn bpd, the same as it was in February 2014.
Products demand in Japan for February 2015 was
4.9 mn bpd, a fall of 0.3 mn bpd or 5.3% compared with
the previous year.
Totalworld demand for petroleum products in Febru-
ary 2015 was 90.5 mn bpd, an increase of 0.6 mn bpd or
0.6% compared with the gure for February 2014.
