STATISTICAL HIGHLIGHTS

Crude oil and NGL production

Provisional estimates for OPEC crude oil production in

July 2015 totaled 32.0 mn bpd. For the 12 members of

OPEC, natural gas liquids (NGL) production for July

was 5.3 mn bpd, bringing tota l combined production of

crude oil and NGL to 37.3 mn bpd, 1.7 mn bpd, or 4.7%

higher than the gure for July 2014.

Crude oil and NGL productionin the OECD 30 coun-

tries totaled 22.9 mn bpd in July, up by 1.4 mn bpd or

6.4% from the previous year.

Production in the countries of the Commonwealth of

Independent States (CIS) for July2015 was 13.0 mn bpd,

down 0.9 mn bpd, or 6.2% compared with July 2014, and

for the rest of the world, production was 15.6 mn bpd,

0.1 mn bpd, or 0.7% lower than it was in July 2014.

Total world production of crude oil and NGL for July

2015 totaled 88.7 mn bpd, an increase of 2.1 mn bpd or

2.4% compared with the gure for July 2014.

Natural gas production

US production of naturalgas for May 2015 was 65.7 bcm,

up 4.7 bcm or 7.7% compared with May 2014.

In Canada, production in May totaled 14.5bcm,

an increase of 2.0 bcm or 16.0% compared with May

2014. Production forOECD Europe-23 was 19.3 bcm, up

0.2 bcm or 1.3% compared witht he samemonth in 2014.

Natural gas production in the CIS countries was

67.3 bcm, down 4.7 bcm or 6.5% compared with the

gure for May 2014.

Over all, world total natural gas production in May

2015 was 291.6 bcm, an increase of 2.7bcm or 0.9%

compared with the gure for May 2014.

Coal and lignite production

World total combined production of coal and lignite in

May 2015 was 621.4 mn mt, up just 0.6 mn mt or 0.1%

from the previous year.

2014.

lignite in May 2015, a fall of 1.1 mn mtor 2.7% compared

with May 2014.

Electricity production

Net total world production of electricity in May 2015

was 1.5% or 26.3 bn kWh higher than in May 2014, at

1,794.1 bn kWh.

In China, net electricity production increased by

19.2 bn kWh, or 4.6% on the gure for May 2014,

at 433.9 bn kWh. US production for May 2015 was

2.6 bnkWh or 0.8% lower than the gure for May 2014

at 321.2 bn kWh.

Net electricity production in OECD Europe-23 was

250.0 bn kWh, which was 0.1 bn kWh or 0.1% higher

than the same month in 2014.

Products demand

Demand for oil products in the US for May 2015 was

19.2 mn bpd, an increase of 0.5 mn bpd or 2.5% c om-

pared with May 2014.

AcrosstheOECD30countries,productsdemandwas

41.8 mnbpd, the same as it was in May 2014.

Products demand in Japan for May 2015 was

3.6 mn bpd, a decline of 0.2 mn bpd or 4.2% compared

with the previous year.

Total world demand for petroleum products in May

2015 was 89.4 mn bpd, an increase of 1.1 mn bpd or 1.3%

compared with the gure for May 2014.
