The State Bar of Georgia's Antitrust Law Section unveiled its 1890 Award for Excellence in Antitrust at its December holiday party at the Peachtree Club in Atlanta. The award is named for the year in which President Benjamin Harrison signed the Sherman Antitrust Act into law, and is designed to recognize Georgia attorneys who have demonstrated excellence in the field of antitrust law over the course of their careers.
The section implemented an annual nomination process. To be eligible, the recipient must be licensed or practicing in Georgia, have at least 20 years of outstanding achievement in antitrust law, have made a significant contribution to CLE or Bar activities in antitrust law, have a record of community service and have a personal...
