Why did you choose to work at the legislature?

I moved back to West Virginia from North Carolina and the opportunity to work in the West Virginia Legislature opened. I chose this line of work because I was interested in the legislative process and being a part of this lawmaking community. A bonus is that I really enjoy working with all the different people under the Gold Dome here at the Capitol in Charleston.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

I have heightened situational awareness, which is necessary for the ebb and flow of our office.

What's the best advice you were ever given?

Do your job to the best of your ability and with integrity.

Who or what inspires you?

My mom inspires me! She works hard, and I feel I learn a lot from seeing her work ethic.

What's one thing you love about your state?

I love the friendliness of the people of our state, the beautiful mountains and our four seasons. No one is a stranger in West Virginia.
