Why did you choose to work at the legislature?

My second grade teacher, Mrs. Ulich, sparked within me a love of history and public service that has stayed with me ever since. The deeds of the giants of history and their work to make the world a better place fascinated me. My employment with the House of Representatives was a natural next step after earning my history degree and working in journalism for several years. Working with the Legislature allows me to participate in making 11 million lives better, while improving the legislative process for future generations.

What skill or talent are you most proud of?

I am very appreciative of my ability to multitask and pour seemingly endless amounts of energy into multiple complex projects throughout session and the interim.

Who or what inspires you?

In addition to my savior, Jesus Christ, multiple historical figures inspire the way I try to live and work.

What's one thing you love about your state?

Georgia is a beautiful state with a rich history, which makes it a great place for historians and history buffs to live and work.

What are you currently reading/listening to/watching?

I am currently reading a biography on Gen. George C. Marshall and rereading Edmund Morris' biographical trilogy on Theodore...
