Indiana has a multitude of meeting and convention facilities to fit every business need, from small corporate meetings to conventions, and they're conveniently located all around the state. Following are details of some of the state's major facilities, arranged by city.

BLOOMINGTON/MONROE COUNTY CONVENTION CENTER

Located in the heart of the college town, this two-story facility specializes in small groups and conferences, meetings, trade shows and corporate retreats. The center, which has 21,000 square feet of meeting space, hosts more than 1,000 events each year. Eleven meeting rooms provide a variety of breakout options. The Great Room, the largest, is 8,675 square feet and seats 578 people theater-style or 550 banquet-style. Banquet facilities can accommodate up to 1,000 diners. Amenities include full service on-site catering, full service A/V packages, event planning staff utilizing CAD software and an information/message center. The Courtyard by Marriott with 117 hotel rooms is directly connected to the center through an enclosed walkway.

CAESARS INDIANA, ELIZABETH

Located in the greater Louisville area on the Indiana side of the Ohio River, Caesars Indiana offers more than 24,000 square feet of flexible conference space. Conference and meeting rooms are equipped with advanced sound systems, lighting, environmental controls and connections for data or cable TV. An executive boardroom offers 840 square feet of space and a built-in TV/VCR, drop-down screen, high-back ex ecutive chairs and a wet bar. For a larger gathering, Caesars Colosseum offers 14,000 square feet that can accommodate a 600-scat banquet or 1,000-seat theater-style meeting. The facility's Business Center includes computer workstations, fax, copiers, laptop ports and telephones. Caesars, of course, also offers casino gaming and other entertainment, as well as golfing on its Chariot Run course.

THE CENTRE, EVANSVILLE

Billed as the second-largest convention center in Indiana, the $35 million Evansville Auditorium and Convention Centre--better known as The Centre--is situated in downtown Evansville. Opened in 1999, the no smoking facility has first-class acoustics and is designed with accessibility and versatility in mind. The facility boasts a 38,000-square-foot column-free Exhibition Hall that can accommodate up to 4,000 people as well as 12 full-service, flexible meeting rooms totaling 280,000 square feet that can accommodate from eight to 2,000 people. The 13,416-square-foot, fully equipped ballroom has infrared hearing-assistance technology. The multi-tiered auditorium has 2,571 seats and a stage-loading area on the stone level for easy setup. Amenities include an extensive array of audio/ visual equipment and full-service in-house catering.
