§700 U.S. COURT OF FEDERAL CLAIMS

The United States Court of Federal Claims, formerly U.S. Claims Court, was cre-

ated by Congress in 1855 and changed by the Federal Courts Improvement Act of

1982 (Pub. L. No. 97-164, 96 Stat. 25 (Apr. 2, 1982)). It is an Article I court whose

jurisdiction is mainly monetary. Its power to issue injunctions is limited. Its judges

are Article I judges who serve 15-year terms. There is only one form of action: civil.
