Two MIT-trained innovators from India have developed an interactive footwear line called Lechal that uses haptic feedback (simple vibrations) to direct you where you want to go. Using their "smart assist" technology, you simply program your destination into a shoe or insole, and start walking. Vibrations on either the right or left shoe keep you on track. (No word yet on whether they can sense gum or dog stuff on the road ahead.) The "smartshoes" are designed...
