SOFIC Breaks Attendance Record.

A record-breaking 16,000-[rho]lus participants from more than 100 countries gathered in May in Tampa, Florida, for the 2022 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference.

The event featured the highest number of exhibitors, with 585 companies and organizations displaying their products and services at the Tampa Convention Center and the new SOFIC Campus encompassing several blocks of the city. Several capabilities and equipment that address the mission needs of U.S. special operations forces were highlighted--from high-tech vehicles, aircraft and gear to artificial intelligence, machine learning and big-data analytics.

The event marked the first SOFIC held in person since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, as conferences in 2020 and 2021 were held virtually. The new attendance record demonstrates the importance of inperson conferences, said Christine Klein, NDIA's senior vice president of meetings...
