Methods For Calculating Fair Market Rents (FMRs)
in Rental Markets With Rapidly Rising Rents

FMRs in rental markets with rapidly rising rents.
Deadline: Aug. 4, 2020.
Funds: $500,000 for up to three awards.
Eligibility: Unrestricted.
Areas: HUD said the successful applicant will provide
research that will dene “rental markets with rapidly
rising rents” and identify alternative calculations
to generate FMRs that more closely track market
conditions in rapidly rising rental markets than current
methods. This may include but is not limited to
alternative sources of gross rent data and/or alternative
calculation methodologies using existing data.

Economic Impacts of the CDBG and HOME Programs
announcement to develop a better understanding of
the effects of specic eligible Community Development
Block Grant (CDBG) and/or HOME Investment
Partnerships Program (HOME) activities.
Deadline: Aug. 17, 2020.
Funds: $500,000 for up to two awards.
Eligibility: Colleges and universities; for-prot
organizations, including small businesses; nonprot
organizations; and state, local, special district and Native
American tribal governments; among others.
Areas: HUD said it anticipates limited funding for travel
expenses and surveys. Activities may include but are not
limited to: developing a work plan, which should include
staffing assignments, task budgets and a timeline of key
activities; conducting a literature review; consulting with
outside experts and stakeholders; developing a research
design, which should include research questions,
hypotheses, data sources, data-collection methods,
data-collection instruments (if applicable) and analysis
methods; completing all materials required for Office
of Management and Budget Paperwork Reduction
Act approval; and obtaining Institutional Review Board
approval.

RESTORE Act Direct Component—Construction
and Real Property Activities (TREASURY)
Scope: The Treasury Depar tment’s Office of Gulf Coast
