Snowmobile Study Makes Case for Trail System.

A recent study shows that Anchorage and the Mat-Su Borough could boost economic activity related to snow-mobiling by about $35.5 million annually if a system of groomed and marked trails were developed throughout the area, and related winter tourism activities were promoted.

This boost would come from an estimated 12,000 additional visitors to the state each year, drawn to vacation here by such a trail system, and activities spurred by a growing number of instate snowmobilers.
