Who wants to break the link between smoking and sports? Exactly.

WHO, the United Nations World Health Organization, has joined with athletes and sports organizations to eliminate tobacco advertising from the sports world. WHO officials say high-profile ads on race cars (above), team jerseys, bags, jackets, and arena billboards are aimed at recruiting teen smokers. Gro Harlem Brundtland, the WHO director, says such marketing is the "most pervasive and pernicious form," connecting athletic achievement to a health risk.
