Pat, you have said a mouthful in just a few sentences ("The banks need to get back in play," Pat Wiesner, October). I, too, remember starting up my first high-tech company in Boulder. Excellent credit rating, liquid assets and a track record were looked upon as "very good but you do not qualify" statements. The banks used the regulators to prevent loans to qualified customers.

This economy is still in real trouble, and small business is struggling. But try to get an appointment to talk with our two senators when they come for...
