Silicon slopes tech summit: on track to become Utah's very own south by southwest.

With more than 5,000 people in attendance, the inaugural Silicon Slopes Tech Summit (SSTS) took place at The Salt Palace in downtown Salt Lake City on Jan. 19-20, 2017. The summit featured keynotes from some of the most prominent tech leaders in the world, three compelling tracks, a dazzling concert put on by Lupe Fiasco's group SNDCLSH, a $300,000 startup competition and so much more. It was an event unlike any Utah has ever seen.

And we're only getting started.

Set to coincide with the opening weekend of the Sundance Film Festival on an annual basis, SSTS is already on track to become Utah's version of South by Southwest as more than 10,000 people are expected to attend in 2018. This summit is the cornerstone in our community's efforts to attract talent from around the world and become recognized as a global hub for tech and innovation.

As a community, as entrepreneurs, and as individuals, we should actively seek opportunities to serve and give others a chance. By creating this new organization, bringing Silicon Slopes and Beehive Startups together, uniting behind a compelling vision, and launching SSTS--we have the opportunity to empower every member of the Silicon Slopes community to learn, connect and serve in order to make entrepreneurship open and accessible to all.

With that in mind, we're excited to announce a bigger and better SSTS will be returning to Salt Lake City on Jan. 18-19, 2018. Early-bird registration will become available soon. Visit...
