The CalCPA Accounting Education Committee named Robert Shepherd, a former director of the economics accounting track at the University of California, Santa Cruz, the 2015 Outstanding Educator Award winner.

Shepherd, a CalCPA member, was finance director for the city of Santa Cruz for 13 years and began teaching accounting at UC Santa Cruz in 1982, where he was involved in planning and developing the business management economics major.
