Thousands of public finance professionals gather each year for GFOAs three-day conference to share ideas, develop technical and managerial skills, learn about new products, and network with peers. This year, GFOAs 110th Annual Conference will be held May 22-25 in Toronto, Ontario. Our theme will be Sharing Solutions and Strategies.

Attendees will be able to choose among more than 60 educational sessions about the most important topics in public finance. Leading practitioners and recognized experts in the field of public finance will discuss case studies, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to addressing common challenges in the fields of accounting, budgeting, capital planning, debt management, financial leadership, pension and benefit administration, and treasury management. This year's conference will also include several new features, including more interactive sessions and discussion groups intended to connect members representing similar organizations and interests (such as specific sessions for small governments, urban governments, and utility organizations). In addition, GFOA will host a networking event for young members to start building lasting relationships with their GFOA peers.

If you've never attended a GFOA annual conference, you may be eligible for a scholarship covering the full registration fee. In 2013, GFOA began offering the first 50 GFOA members from each state or province a scholarship to attend the conference. For more...
