Housing prices in the 11-county Denver metro area increased 10.2 percent from April 2015 to the same month this year, and continued low inventory of single-family homes and condos has created frustration in the marketplace, according to the Denver Metro Association of Realtors in its Market Trends Report for May 2016.

"Buyers feel that sellers are being unreasonable with demands to waive appraisal or inspection contingencies," the report said. "At the same time, many sellers are irritated with buyers who are making offers to simply get a property under contract, then finding ways to bail on the transaction."
