Section Letter From the Chair: Outreach

Shirish Gupta is an experienced mediator with Flashpoint Mediation. He mediates from Flashpoint's Bay Area, Orange County and Sacramento mediation centers. After 8 years at Big Law, he launched his own firm in 2008 and hasn't looked back.

For the past six months, we've been building on this year's theme "You Are Not Alone". The goal is to help our members establish and grow their practices. We are hosting mixers, educational programs, and webinars to provide you with opportunities to network and keep current on the law.

Our outreach to bar associations program is gathering steam. For the past two years, the Section has been offering live MCLE programs through underserved bar associations, ranging from Humboldt County down to Imperial County. We've gone east to San Joaquin County and Yuba City. In 2014, we are expanding the number of programs throughout the state to support our fellow solo and small firm attorneys.
