Section 537.600.1, RSMo Supp. 2011, waives a public entity’s sovereign immunity for injuries resulting from certain circumstances. Under § 537.610.2, RSMo Supp. 2011, the liability of a public entity on such a claim (other than those governed by Missouri’s workers’ compensation law) “shall not exceed two million dollars for all claims arising out of a single accident or occurrence and shall not exceed three hundred thousand dollars for any one person in a single accident or occurrence.”
