Negligence may be predicated on violation of a traffic signal. MAI 17.01 [1980 Revision] applies. While the violation of a traffic signal may be negligence per se, there may be a valid excuse in some circumstances. In MacArthur v. Gendron, 312 S.W.2d 146, 150 (Mo.
