D. (§9.26) Application of Official Immunity Doctrine

The following are examples of decisions finding the actions of a government official or employee protected by the doctrine of official immunity:

Jackson v. Wilson, 581 S.W.2d 39 (Mo. App. W.D. 1979) (policy decisions relating to swimming area: warning signs, guards, prohibiting diving)

Sherrill v. Wilson, 653 S.W.2d 661 (Mo. banc 1983) (hiring subordinate officers)

Bates v. State, 664 S.W.2d 563 (Mo. App. E.D. 1983) (policy decisions concerning the proper number of employees, the method of screening employees, etc.)
