A. (§9.2) Legal Custody
Joint legal custody is appropriate only when parents demonstrate the willingness and ability to share rights and responsibilities of raising their children.
In Lee v. Lee, 967 S.W.2d 82 (Mo. App. W.D. 1998), the court found that joint custody was in the child’s best interest because there was evidence of misconduct by both parents, and they were willing and able to share rights and responsibilities of raising their child.
