F. (§9.14) Criminal Cases

Rules 84.19 and 55.03 and §§ 514.205 and 512.160, RSMo 2000, apply only to civil cases and are inapplicable in criminal cases. But cases involving postconviction review under Rules 24.035 and 29.15 are civil proceedings and could be subject to an award of sanctions. Section 514.205 expressly precludes its application to postconviction motions. Section 512.160 does not apply because it relates to ten percent of a judgment.
