I. (§9.1) Introduction and Scope

This chapter covers aspects of Missouri tort law that are unique to governmental entities and governmental officials and employees. The emphasis is on local government, but many of the tort doctrines also apply to state government and state officials; consequently, many of the cases discussed involve state agencies and officers.
